This is a temporary web page for the lighthouses that I make.
Each lighthouse has been completely built by hand using a mixture of wood turning, 3D printing and electronics. A high capacity rechargeable battery, located within the lower section of the tower, is used to power the electronics. The battery is charged via the USB Type-C connector.
The main light is a high-powered white LED with the correct flash sequence for this lighthouse. There is also another white LED inside the top section to illuminate several of the upper windows.
The controls and lights are as follows:
- Green/Red LED: This shows green when the lighthouse has been switched on and the battery level is fine. However, once the battery level drops then the red LED lights up indicating that the battery needs charged via the USB connector.
- On: This is the On/Off switch and switches on the light with the correct flashing sequence. This switch needs to be Off when charging.
- Small LED: This will flash red whenever the batteries are charging. Once they are fully charged then this red LED goes out.
The cost for each lighthouse is £75 and there is currently a lead time of several weeks.
There will be a different version with sound effects e.g. foghorn, strong wind, etc but this is still in development.
